Last week was hectic with musical practice and a lot of curriculum time.
In Maths students spent time on mixed and improper fractions, equivalent fractions, least common multiples, multiplication and division of fractions.
Students worked in groups depending on their requirements and their confidence levels with the above subtopics.
Apart from the above mental maths is also being focussed in class. Last week, tables were being stressed on.
In unit of inquiry, students inquired how print media is different from audiovisual media and how can a message in print media be made more creative with the help of audiovisual media.
Students chose a message from the print media and made an iMovie in order to show their creativity through audio-visual media.
Thereafter students made tasks for their assessments on the second and the fourth lines of inquiry. They also came up with criteria for their tasks. They did it in groups of five or six, post which the whole class brainstormed on the tasks and which task was best suited to the lines of inquiries.
In English, students wrote an assessment and created their own myth/stories.
Students began to tune in to argumentative writing. They were given two sentences and were asked to write what they thought about it, what they felt about it and what they believed about it.
