Last week in English the concept of 'imagery' was discussed through a story of Paul Jennings. Ms Robin read out a very funny story which had very little dialogue but a lot of imagery. Thereafter students were supposed to choose a scene from the first chapter of what they had heard and act it out with their group members.
It was interesting to see each group acting out almost the same scene which had the maximum imagery. Below is a photograph of one of the groups.
In unit of inquiry, Ms Kusuma was invited as our guest speaker. She teaches Design and Mathematics in MYP. She gave a very good insight into the design cycle which is basically problem-solving in a step by step method.
In Mathematics students continued working in different centers:
- Six numbers were given to them and they had to create numbers with them and multiply (long multiplication)
- Six numbers were given to them and they had to create numbers and divide (long division).
- Simple BODMAS problems

In ICT they used PADCADLITE. They made blueprint of some designs.
