Week of 21st of October

Students returned to a week full of activities in class. It was good to see them back after two weeks and they love to share their holiday stories. BUT this time in English, the challenge was for them to describe their most horrible holiday!
A kind of holiday which they would never ever want to have. The following guidelines were given to them in regards to vocabulary and requirements of writing:

Students have almost completed their writing on their worst holiday using the vocabulary and are ready to share it with their peers.

In Maths, 3D shapes and their properties were the focus for most part of the week, Students revised the properties through the lessons in www.myimaths.com:

They also used the 3D shapes in class to revise the properties :

The concept of quadrilaterals was reinforced to students and some students made nets of 3D shapes.
The concept of order of operations was also reinforced during the latter half of the week. Only the operations and parenthesis were reinforced in order of operations through www.myimaths.com

In the unit of inquiry, students worked on the assessment of the first two lines of inquiry and began their inquiry into the third line of inquiry. The book on the INCA Empire was read to them and they were asked to work in their groups and figure out what would be their take away from the INCA empire which they would like to implement in their life. Or what really impressed them about the INCA empire.
